This hojicha is a blend of various different cultivars and teas that have been roasted to create a delicious hojicha with medium bodied roasted flavour. As there is some darker and some lighter roasted leaves you can really play with the brewing of this tea to get lighter, sweeter infusions or deeper more chocolate notes. 

Steeping Notes: We recommend varying steeping times amount of leaves to get your perfect infusion. 

  • For a lighter brew: 3g | 1min | boiling water | 300ml
  • For a darker brew: 5g | 2min | boiling water | 300ml 

About the Farm:

Kyoto Obubu Tea Farms is a Japanese tea brand owned and operated by tea farmers in the town of Wazuka, Kyoto. Started by Akihiro Kita and Yasuharu Matsumoto in 2004, the company began as an agricultural social venture. Akky and Matsu's aim was and still is, to teach tea lovers both in Japan and overseas about the value of tea farming, and to contribute to society through tea.
